Our Vision
Sharon Valley Christian Kibbutz Village
Imagine travelling 100 miles out of the capital city of your African country, and turning 10 miles off the highway into the rural-villages-countryside, and there you find a whole new world altogether ...
Our members have started building their dream homes on their plots in the family housing estate
Yes, imagine travelling deep into the African countryside, and there you find a whole new world altogether. You find lush green farms covered in grain, nuts and bean crops; passion fruit, avocado, jack-fruit, orange and mango orchards; vegetable gardens, and flourishing birds and animal farms. A whole new world of a self-sustaining, thriving community of hundreds of people, working and sharing life together.
Walking into the community you discover they have established factories and cottage industries engaging in agroprocessing and other businesses. There is a wood furniture factory and a metal fabrications workshop making iron gates, doors, windows and metalic furniture.
There is a flour milling factory as well. The factory products are marketed in the world outside of the village community.
The factories provide employment to hundreds of people – members of the community and others from the surrounding villages.
But then, you do not see the residential homes and farmhouses typical of the African countryside. Families have built their dream homes covering one end of the village, You see modern residential homes with electricity and running water. There are no pit latrines, but instead, flushing toilets. Flower gardens surround every house, and the lawns are kept smart and trimmed. The residents obtain their supplies from the community shops and the market of farm products, operated by the community.
They have a Primary and a Secondary School with a Vocational and Skills Training College operated by the community.
They also own a Medical Centre that is shared with the neighbouring villages.
They have a Leisure Centre and a Sports Field as well. You could live here for a long time without the need to move out. There is employment on the farms and in the factories, and in the schools and the Medical Centre. This village community is a Noah’s Ark – a spiritual, socioeconomic system that can support life for a long time with little need to move out. This modern village concept is the African Christian Kibbutz Village. We are building A NEW AFRICA, starting from the countryside, and we invite you to join us.
